Well, here I am, writing my 1st post. What made me start this? For some reason, 40 sounds much more serious than 30. I felt my 30s as an extension of my 20s. Now at 39, I feel that I need to make the next decade of my life totally different…. in a good way.
I also realised that if I want to be healthy in my 60s, or actually get there, making changes is a must. So, from this, a new “passion“ arose - longevity. I decided to approach this strategically and focus on the moves that have the highest impact. The 1st one must be finally quitting smoking.
I’ve been a smoker since my teens. Had many attempts to quit over the years(even quit for 1 year), but it never stuck. How do you think I celebrated a year of not smoking?:) I think you guessed. Now this must be non-negotiable, once and forever. I have a little over a month until my 40 bday, and I will not enter my 40s as a smoker.
If a part of you, reading this now, feels that your life also needs some massive changes, and you want to make your 30s( being smarter than me) or 40s, I hope my journey will help you.
Together, we can create the best versions of ourselves and share our wins and struggles in the process.
Until next time!
Best,
Alex
